sTwain.com Articles catalogue A Link Exchange with an authority website is never easy. The other problem is that the reciprocal Link exchange that dominate the search results built up their authority when reciprocal linking was worth doing, about five years ago! However, some webmasters engage in link exchange schemes exclusively for the sake of cross-linking. stwain.com v 4_2 |

Earlier last month we reported that the domain shania.org was up for sale. We are now thrilled to say that Phillip Beddoe, webmaster of shania.org/shaniafanclub.com, has found a buyer for the popular domain. Doug Hass purchased the domain from Mr. Beddoe earlier last week. As president of Roughstock Productions, Doug was more than happy to buy shania.org. "Since shania.org/shaniafanclub.com and shania.net are merging, it was in our collective best interests to keep the shania.org domain here instead of allowing it to be moved," says Mr. Hass. Doug plans to continue to have shania.org point to shaniafanclub.com until the site merges with shania.net. Many may not know this, but Doug Hass is one of the main reasons why three of the biggest Shania Twain fan sites stand strong today. Shania.net, shania.org/shaniafanclub.com, and sTwain.com are all backed by Mr. Hass as they are apart of The Roughstock Network. Home to many popular Country music web sites such as Planet Garth, SHeDAISYfans.com, and The Shania Twain Forums; The Roughstock Network is the foundation on which these web sites stand on. What does Phillip think of selling his domain to Mr. Hass? He was relieved that Doug bought shania.org. "I am glad that Doug decided to buy it and "keep it in the family" if you will." Additionally, he adds that it would of been a shame to see the URL be associated with a site that had little or nothing to do with Shania, if bought by someone else. As far as the merger between shania.net and shaniafanclub.com is concerned, don't count on the new super Shania site anytime soon. "We're in the design and development stage right now. We haven't started work on the new design and content yet because we haven't finished planning," says Matthew Hartsock, shania.net webmaster. He assures us that he has a good overall idea on the design. He's currently working out smaller issues concerned with the design such as theme colors, fonts, etc. A rough estimate of when the new site will launch is still in the clouds, but Mr. Hartsock says to expect something new by late Summer or early Fall. Everyone is looking forward
to seeing the new and improved shania.net, once combined with shaniafanclub.com's
content. Mr. Hass has a positive over view on the future merger and
with the other Shania-related sites in his network. "I know that
we'll continue to have the best Shania destination on-line," Doug says.
